There’s not many statements that I completely agree with without feeling the need to add or change anything in between the lines. For some reason DJ Bri-G from New York always seems to read my thoughts when it comes to music. I’m absolutely sorry but this week has been so freaking busy that I can’t even follow up with all the editing and posting I want to do. That’s why I’m a little late with this one. Here’s a video from the Idle Warship/Talib Kweli show in Mannheim, Germany this wednesday. Kweli performs the best of both worlds, the untouchable classic “The Blast” which all of you should not only know but actually own, and the brand new “Back Again”, from the upcoming NEW Reflection Eternal album which is scheduled to be in stores later this year. Good stuff, sorry for the bad audio in some parts.

Wow, I didn’t even know that. Shout out to Talib Kweli, Blacksmith, Jean Grae, Los (Warner) and the team. It’s only 2 weeks ago since I met Kweli in Berlin but I don’t know if this feature on his site has anything to do with this. With what? Alright: Year Of The Blacksmith is the official online community of Talib Kweli and his label Blacksmith and besides all info on the artists, they feature all kinds of links, songs, videos and cool stuff surrounding Kweli and great music in general. This is definitely one of the best artist-/label sites on the net. Thanks for the support!

This pic was shot at the private opening party of a brand new club in Frankfurt. The spot is called Nu Soul and is not only the new highlight of the Frankfurt club scene but a new vision of former Unity founders Zeleke & Zeleke. And the term vision is really appropriate. The whole club is full of style elements and little design highlights that never seem to be just too much. The whole venue is understatement in perfection which is something the owners already mastered at their previous events. The entire artistic scene and a whole lot of press people attended the pre-opening, Schowi was on the decks and despite an early monday night get-together the festivities continued till the early morning hours. The public opening is this thursday, let’s see what’s happening then. See you!
